I discovered there is something called a pencil beam which can be found on a satellite, perhaps one of our members can enlighten us on what it actually does. Who knew?
This lingo suggests that we are going to have an issue with a satellite, likely a spy satellite. Counter suggests counterintelligence to me. It isn't clear if the satellite is spinning out of control, the public is made aware of something regarding a satellite or if a security issue regarding a satellite will be "spun" to the public.
On 12-14-16 we had the words

There is a
Jason 3 Satellite which launched into space a year ago. The Jason 3 mission, a joint project managed by U.S. and European weather agencies, tracks rising sea levels caused by
climate change, helps predict the intensity of tropical cyclones, and aides in the forecasting of global weather patterns. Yesterday there was to be a workshop to announce the official release of the Jason-3 climate data records for use by the climate community. I don't know if that happened or when the results will be released.
Jason has been in at least 4 recent botruns. Perhaps this will be our Jason news and ties in with our satellite news.
