I suddenly appear on a stark barren plains the ground is dry cracked and dusty looks like sand but is hard. I look before me and there stands a farmer he is holding some of his crops with tears in his eyes the crops are dead and withered behind him is a field in the field are crops covered with insects and animals that look gaunt and weak. in the sky there is a mass of black clouds that seems like a vicious storm. To my right I look and there is the scene of a city buildings crumbling and the rotten smell of decay people fighting and what looks like an army's last battle stance. A child is sitting on a street corner cryng for their mother,
I look to my left there is a wintery scene of a city men carrying baskets of paper money and debres dumping it in barrels of fire trying to keep warm. Long lines of people standing waiting for food.Car's abandoned the people seem listless and a feeling of hoplessness is everywhere. I say to myself oh my god isn't there any hope for us. I feel a hand on my shoulder and the agony I was feeling seems to lift away. I turn around..
Here in the middle of feild is a single sunflower the sky in the background looks like a storm front where the clouds are breaking up and a ray of beautiful sunlight coming down to the flower. from the sky two white doves drop and begin to feed filling their bellies. Behind them I see men and women knelt deep in prayer and behind them there is what looks like groups of people busy building homes and planting feilds. then I hear the voice.
It says to me.. why do you doubt me. Don't I provide all that you need like the birds of the fields. Keep your faith stedfast.
I now feel a calmness with all the fighting, storms , pestilence and poverty the starvation and calamity there is a glimmer of hope all through our faith in the creator.
