3/11/11 MORNING:
We were in Las Vegas, at the cat races.
I had a cat in the race. Regular domestic house cats.
I had someone else"s cell phone that I remember thinking was a very cool device.
There was a curious lack of color everywhere - except in the window of that device.
My cat didn"t win but it didn"t seem to really matter. Turns out I had four cats in the race.
All the brightly blinking neon lights in Las Vegas were dark, skeletons of metal and broken bulbs.
