The dream begins with me carving beautiful ski turns (racing, super-G style) down a well groomed slope at a ski resort similar to one I have visited in Quebec. I am alone, yet my perspective keeps changing from behind my body (in a tucked position) to observing the scene through my own eyes. Near the bottom, I pass the last of the gates and finally level out. However my speed is so great that it takes me two huge, sweeping turns to slow myself down. Even so, my last turn leaves me with enough momentum to reach the chair lift loading area, where I come to a stop beside an older woman to my right. We sit down on the lift together and begin the journey upwards.

As we ascend, I can see that the right side of the slope underneath us is being completely restructured by a team of construction workers using a combination of heavy machinery and hand-held tools. Oddly enough, the track that they are preparing (perhaps for another race) is made of brown dirt, as if the soil had been completely dug up. The track is plowed in such a way that there are long grooves that run down its length. In my mind, I think "
