I saw a Mormon Bishop marry a gay couple (both Mormon). It was covered by the local news somewhere in the US Northwest, but the Bishop did not appear to be comfortable with the coverage and refused to make a statement.

Soon, LDS Church headquarters called him in for excommunication proceedings. As part of his trial, it was learned that the Dept of Justice (DOJ) threatened him with personal liability suit brought by the DOJ and the gay couple if he did not perform the marriage. Additionally, discrimination charges would also be brought against him. He was also threatened not to contact Mormon headquarters or he would be charged with obstruction.

DOJ had taken on the Mormon Church, who assembled their team of lawyers to do battle.
End of Vision.
