NO INTENT

AT 3:30 A.M. I DREAMED MY MOTHER AND I WERE WALKING DOWN A STREET IN THE UKRAINE (MY MOTHER'S PARENTS WERE FROM THE UKRAINE AND SPOKE VERY LITTLE ENGLISH). ON THE CORNER THERE WAS A RED BRICK BUILDING, SEVERAL STORIES HIGH, WHICH I TOLD MY MOTHER WAS THE BUILDING HER PARENTS LIVED IN. AS WE PASSED THEIR HOUSE, IN THE NEXT ADJOINING BUILDING, I COULD SEE ABOUT 5-6 NUNS ON THE SECOND FLOOR THROUGH A FOGGY WINDOW. I WAVED, THEY SMILED AND THEY WAVED BACK. ONE HELD UP A BOTTLE OF VODKA WITH A SHINY SILVER AND RED LABEL. HAVING BEEN A VODKA DRINKER MYSELF, I KNEW IT WAS NOT STOLLY BUT IT DID LOOK FAMILIAR.

NEXT I HEARD THE WORD MARICOPA (AS IN SHERIFF ARPAIO OF MARICOPA COUNTY).
Maricopa? That caught my attention.
