I was just struck this morning by what a great group of people we have here on the NDC. Talent out the proverbial wazoo, humbleness about all that talent, great camaraderie, everyone respects everyone else, and we band together when necessary to protect what Nanny calls the "Great Experiment". Oh, and a fearless leader beyond compare (you didn't think I'd actually NOT call you out, hmmm, Eagle1?
)
And we've had some wonderful new members come out of the shadows and see they're talented too! I'm absolutely positive there are more talented members hiding behind the curtain, and I can't wait to meet you all!

Goldengirl, you've also just described yourself and you, as well as the others make this a very fun experience. But, when we're seriously on the science, we're dedicated and doing it for that purpose. This, the motive-factor does make me thankful to be here.
YES!! to the max on your comments about the new members. Hoping that reading this and realizing the truth of it will inspire some of the lurkers that just read, to jump into participating without a bit of shyness.
Now, gotta acknowledge that the dreambot runs can be the most intimidating. I recall feeling that those interpreting the runs were some uber-special gifted people and that I dare not touch those threads. But...the sorta-magic happens and they start to make sense.

Nanny, I never would've thought you were ever intimidated by the Bot runs! Gives me something to think about and work towards.....
Oh, mercy yes! for months.....then was just blindly trying, guessing....and talking without a bit of confidence.
Something just clicks with them. At first...they seemed a gobbledegook of random words as if someone barfed a dictionary. LOL
I can't wait for the new protocol for the runs to be explained.....
Oh! is *that what you were talking about to Boss?! I didn't catch it. Okay....thinking...."protocol." Does this mean that the layout/appearance of the botruns is changing again? They have evolved through the couple of years or less that I've been here.
The Boss is all around great, nothing less than that! And about as humble as they come, for someone who has as many degrees as he does, and does the bot runs, etc, etc, etc, etc.......
But he posted in today's run that he was changing around the number of words it was putting out, and he'd let us know the reasons later when he had time. Had a new title, Daily Botrun4. (I notice graphic stuff like that, go figure).
I saw that but wrongly-assumed that he did it just for today, for some reason and that this is what he'll explain later.
Yes, he is, Very accomplished and a VETERAN which is huge and speaks of character and a ton more things. He's worn a variety of hats, so-to-speak. Most of all, he's one of those quite-degreed dudes that doesn't sound like they're constipated with ten-dollar words.
He, unlike so many of them is easy to listen to, learn from and take constructive criticism from. In other words, come to think of it, he's really perfect for his chosen line of work at this time.
I hope he reads that Nanny, that he is perfect for his chosen line of work. I totally agree with you and whether one personally thinks it or not, it's always great validation to hear it from others.
Agreed, we all are blessed when we encourage each other. Being a humble dude, I think you're right about it being nice for him to be told or reminded of such.
I don't know how many threads I've missed (hundreds if not thousands by now), but every once in awhile I catch people talking about me
Goldengirl needs our prayers. She was the one person who could distance heal me, so she was the one who got the dream to help me with my neck and back and tingly fingers. Ironically, GG gets smacked in the rear fender and boom.... 9 slipped disks and at least two tears in the spinal column. Jesus that sounds painful! I have the voodoo calvary going and positive energy going out in waves, but it just doesn't seem to be enough. We need a heavy dose of P2 and intentional healing/prayers for GG. Let's make that happen before she gives up all hope!

Thank you, Eagle1! Nope, even though she and I chat often I didn't know she was suffering to this horrible extent. Proof she is busy caring about others instead of herself. NOW that I know....prayers of a committed nature will begin. What's it sometimes called? "to the mattresses" seriously engaged.

Goldengirl, I may be wrong but about this new protocol of Boss's for botruns but it did just hit me that we were told way back that there were "now" 5 dreambots. Aha! maybe the bottom list is shorter because he's now using only 4 bots. If not...yet another coinkydink.
Ahhh! I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait....something I'm most horrible at doing!
Heck yeah, I'm as curious as you are. In the meantime, have you ever clicked on some of the oldest dreambot runs here? just to see the format or the details of said-format? Plus, it can be fun to glance the top of the lists to see what we've likely missed in correlating headlines? Well, maybe I"ve just got too much time on my hands. heh~

I was mostly a dream lurker in the beginning, because I remember the botruns intimidating the crap out of me. They still kind of do, with folks like you and Twice, Shadewolf with the impressive botrun chart.....but after your more recent post I am determined to get out of the kiddie pool and start interpreting. My goodness, I'm always reading and was headed towards a writing career before I decided I liked art better. Words and phrases should be my forte. (And I liked my art professors better too. Teachers - you have so much influence beyond what you teach! Enjoy teaching your students, you are helping to determine the future course of their lives!!!!)
Yes, it's fascinating to look back at the runs. Some of them had huuge surge scores. Are words surging less now, or is it that Eagle1 is scoring the surge with a different scale?? (I've never asked him that one, so maybe in this Pre-Phd break he'll see this and tell us.)
Heck yeah, jump into the runs as soon as you see something that you feel it may be saying. If someone else sees it saying something else, then that's not an embarassment at all, but gives us two types of headlines to look for. Dreambot has proven that it speaks of anything, mercilessly. This puts us in a pickle at times. Be true to the science of bite our tongues?? Someday....I can imagine seeing something in it that we really can't say publicly....for fear of a knock on the door. Otherwise, glad so far I've been able to be true to the science and say what it really "feels" like.
Besides this being a true scientific experiment, this is so much FUN. Folks more educated and successful than many of us have had crossword puzzles and such that they enjoyed. THIS! This is reality-based and so multi-faceted that I feel blessed to have found it. I unwind in front of the things. (lol not that you couldn't tell, ahem....) IMO this is the ultimate brain teaser of the finest kind.

If I'm lyin I'm dyin....and I'm not. I did not somehow accidentally hit that red exclamation point, I mean the dang button or circle I had to have clicked. LOL....just like I have never! subscribed to a thread here, but it happened on a botrun. I had not even known that we could get notices by the computer program, to our private message box of a notice a thread had been posted on!
