I was sitting in traffic to turn left, almost to the gate of a military base I was headed to, Saturday afternoon. There at the corner in the median was a skinny dude, apparently homeless, wearing a football jersey. He held a cardboard sign with a message, asking for donations.
My heart tugged at me but I knew better than to give them cash. Been there, done that several times and then found out one of the guys I had given it to was known to peddle pot or some drug in our town. Anyway...
as he walked past my cardoor, I saw what was written on this jersey. It was a large number "99" and the name was "Taylor." No biggee, but it bugged me as an extra interesting coincidence. I just had to record it here. Heck, I thought at the time, not caring about football, how I had never noticed any of them having that number.
