Piloting the Space Shuttle - captain_obvious - 01-11-2011 I'll start at the part I remember - I think it was going on a while before. It was in orbit and mission control picked up some sort of malfunction. I felt surprised, as most of the subsystems on the ship operated on auto and hardly ever broken down. I remember saying something to the rest of the crew about finding the Pilot's Operating Handbook, every ship has one on board - where's the POH? They went scurrying off to find it. Meanwhile the dream magically fast forwards to the space shuttle gliding on approach to an airport with a road running to the left and the ocean to the right. I was at the controls and somehow knew it wasn't going to make the airport. I yelled something about declaring an emergency and landing on the road. For some reason, landing on the road went a lot better than I though it would. Later I found myself in some sort of pilot's lounge. Then I woke up. |
