Funeral Director - Rainforestangel - 03-25-2011 Someone had died in the village. It was talked about in chatter in the pub. All the older people were dressed in grey coloured clothes in the local pub. All crammed in and covered in ghost like grey dust whilst outside the younger people played in the cold sun. So everyone went to an outside funeral, where a woman directed quite strictly the whole procedure. It was a beautiful ceremony with ribbons in the sky, and a peaceful sunny day. The woman said right, selva you read this, learn it then speak it...I was taken aback as it was thrust upon me quite suddenly. Then she pushed this young girl towards me and the girl was blind, so as the ceremony was still unfolding, we had to whisper the poem to each other. When our time came the woman said, 'Oh I gave them a little job to do but actually there's no time now' In an incredibly patronising way. I got angry and basically flipped out at her... 'You bloody religious types..rah rah rah..so self righteous, you've got no soul' |
