The Gulf coast states burned - redspiralhand - 04-16-2013

Right after the original BP oil disaster I had this dream:

I was visiting in the future somewhere here on the west coast...perhaps 100 years or so. I was on a canoe with some of the local people...life had evidently de-evolved into a more primitive hunter/gatherer/agrarian and somewhat nomadic tribal societies. The two people I was with were answering my questions about all number of things and I asked them, "So what about the gulf states?" And I had to explain where I meant as they didn't understand that region in terms of "states" and the place names we currently use. After they realized what area I was speaking of one of them said:

"We call that area 'the burned places,' nobody goes there, anymore."

I pondered what this could mean...would there be an explosion or something? A bomb perhaps or just fire? I still don't know but believe that the original Deepwater Horizon oil disaster is linked to the huge saltdome sinkholes and such in Louisiana...sounds like there is a loss of geographic integrity in that whole region. Many volatile compounds, some nature and some manmade now...

Now that dream makes some sense.
