I am walking down the side of a street with a black man to my left. We are observing the actions of a Caucasian male, hitchhiker, who is about 20 feet in front of us. A well-meaning group of people suddenly stops and picks him up. At this point, the man beside me pulls out a walkie-talkie and begins to communicate with the group of people telling them that "
