Intent: September Project
Mood: calm at first, shocked at the end
I am in a kitchen, sitting sideways next to a table, doing some simple chore (made me think of shelling peas) Talking to a woman that I call friend (never met in real life). We are talking about life in general.
The conversation turns to the number of children we have and I say “How are your 4 children doing?”
She says she does not have 4 children. I then run down the names of people we know with children. (For some reason this is very important to figure out/remember). After each name I say, “she has X number of children” and by process of elimination I figure out which friend has 4 children.
As I say the name and look to my friend to verify my thought, my friend’s face starts to morph into a death mask. She is becoming very white with deep, black shadows under her eyes.
I am so startled that I blurt out: “OMG (friend’s name) must be very ill!”
The shock wakes me up, I sit straight up and my is heart pounding. I pray this dream is not going to happen!
