There were a number of us that expressed we would like to pray for Chris and his dad during his surgery.
From Chris:
Family typically wants their parents to live live live. I am sensing the opposite for my father. He's been suffering for decades. I'd personally rather him leave to another place more blissful. He wasn't suffering health issues, but rather existential purposelessness, which can be one of the biggest formidable killers in our world. I love my dad and I have nothing to gain from him passing, other than knowing that he is no longer suffering. Not sure how to word that in a positive light for prayer.
If you would like to pray for his dad, please pray for his dad's highest good and best outcome during this difficult time, placing him in God's hands. And pray for Chris and his family during this time of suffering for them too, that they be surrounded by God's love, strength, and angelic presence.
