We've been at a loss for all the references to Africa/African islands in the bot runs, right? Well, I think I may have an answer, something that came to my attention today.
India has plans to build a massive new base in the Seychelles, islands north of Madagascar, as a response to China's growing influence in the area but it's hit snags and may be at a dead end:

Yeah, this is why this particular news item caught my attention. Given all the crap going on in Africa in general, something pertaining to an African island seemed so darned specific.
