It is a somewhat frightening but powerful song. I had not heard it for about 5 years, but it was part of my dream a couple of days ago (Doom of Malafort and Philistia) so I am posting it here.
Kitka is an all-womens' chorus that have been singing for at least 10 years. I think many of them are from families with Eastern European roots. They sing a lot of East European folk songs in the original languages. I have several of their albums--Beautiful and different music. So when their album "The Rusalka Cycle" came out, I bought that one too. It was very different! "Awakening" is IMHO the best song on the album.

Not something I would normally listen to but very interesting. I like listening to different genres and styles of music.
Could've lived without the jarring commercial smack in the middle of the song, however.
