Earworms: Why That Song Gets Stuck In Your Head

"Research suggests that there may be psychological reasons why some songs are more likely to stick, including memory triggers, emotional states and even stress. Some researchers hope to better understand why this happens and figure out what, if anything, music memory can teach psychologists about how to treat patients dealing with memory loss."

I have a tune from this morning that popped into my thoughts after prayers. It took a while to find it because all I had was the tune. Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye. https://youtu.be/opuPjRftg8M

This may have to do with the dream I had this week of my Ex-husband. He pops up in my dreams sometimes to check up on me.

Been waking up the last couple weeks with either Hoyt Axton's "Lion in Winter" or Toby Keith's "How Do You Like Me Now" running on feedback loops in my head. Not the whole songs, just a few lines. The Keith song is new. Yay.
