5.3 just hit off the S. California coast. That is a very healthy quake!

6.3 off New Guinea.
That has been a hot area of late.

Japan's Mt. Shinmoedake is still erupting. This article has photos that are quite cool.

Looked at a map of the area and see black sand beaches. Gave me the chills that it might be what I dreamed the other night. https://nationaldreamcenter.com/forum18/...4-18-18-am

I hope people heed the warnings about the volcano and leave the area. As I'm writing this I get a big "Yes they will".

I have a FB friend who lives in Hawaii and she posted information about the warnings the emergency services were giving the residents in that area.

Yeah, I thought about your black sand dream when I saw the news as well, Cassandra. Undecided

Thanks for the update DLP. Slept so much better last night and felt better this morning so I was wondering if the volcano erupted.

It may have been only 4.5, but that still garners attention because it happened in an area that doesn't get earthquakes, in the Gulf off the coast of NOLA.

Thanks for the info on the quake in the GOM. Dang, that's too close for comfort. We have enough to deal with in hurricane season. Tongue

Namibia just had a 5.0 quake. I don't usually see quakes in Africa. At least I don't think I do anyway.

Thanks for the volcano report DLP. Saved me from searching this morning for what was making my solar plexus queasy yesterday.  Woke this morning feeling better so knew "the something" happened. I just looked at the videos of the volcano in Guatemala. https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/100...2351310849. Makes you respect the earth when you see that much power from the planet we live on every day.

We are going to see more Earth events happening soon. Volcanos, earthquakes, weather related events make living on this planet not particularly safe sometimes. Yet, as a species we still are fighting and harming each other ever day. Makes me go hummm, is it time to press the reset button for the human species? Each time I ask that question, I get a no. Well, guess that's why I don't sit on the council and it will be a few millennium before that happens. Rolleyes
