poem "Inside"
#1
Inside

I'm not afraid of the daylight
I'm not afraid of the dark
But I hate that place in the middle,
you know, that neither part.

It's to late to go out shopping.
It's to early to go to bed.
I have to spend that hour,
alone inside my head.

I have these long conversations
with me, myself and I.
And even though we look alike,
we don't see eye to eye.

Myself wants to fix the world.
Me wants to be well known.
But, I is so damn tired,
I just wants to be alone.

Tho the conversation
often goes round and round,
so much conversation
It really wears me down.

Love it. Has an Edgar Allen Poe sort of melancholy to it.
