Last month I re-read my post from last year, at the prompting of recent replies. It immediately hit me that the brown haze could have been the gas leak in the San Fernando Valley that was recently capped. The picture in my dream was of an area nearby. I grew up about three miles from where the leak was, and hung out in those hills because they weren't as built up as now. Most of my dreams are about some place I've lived or am connected to.

Did they finally cap that leak? I hope so..
