I dreamed there was an incredible yellow light, that disintegrated everything in sight. There were people in my dream but the disintegrated light just dissolved them and then there was nothing.

I took the meaning as a nuclear bomb explosion.

Could also be that hypothesized galactic wave. It has been said that the energy-taming balls of light are gold, or yellow.
