A Murder Mystery at a Ski Resort

I find myself skiing down a slope in terrible conditions -- the weather is warmer than usual and the snow is patchy and nearly completely covered in ice. Although the slope seems deserted, I come to a stop just before the final descent and find a middle-aged woman behind me, on skis and holding an infant in her arms. I direct a comment towards her regarding us being the only ones brave enough to ski in such poor conditions. A quick look behind her shows me that she has lost her ski poles a short way up the slope, so I retrieve them for her. She thanks me and I continue on my way down the slope.

The next thing I know, I am back up near the half-way point of the slope. My skis are gone and I am holding a black office chair of some kind in front of me. Around me are several children from Scotland (on skis). Indicating the particularly steep, icy slope in front of us, I ask them in a Scottish accent, "
