I am at work (stock broker in NYC, non-'wall street') and people are calling in from Tennessee and I am receiving requests from people in Tennessee via email, all with similiar requests to buy precious metals and non-us dollar denominated assets like foreign stocks, all of these are our specialties. Then I am walking home from the train station and I see a car parked on the street with a Tennessee license plate. Then I read some web sites that are talking about the Tennessee Valley Authority and how it may suffer major disruptions or attacks. Then I am back at work and I hear on the news about Tennessee suffering from drought and major dislocations of people to other states.
