The Puddle

The air is hot and dry the land is barren of plants almost dessert like with what used to be plants leaves stripped and dying I am not sure but I think it is from bugs.. A group of people come up and ask me if I know where there is water.. I am walking accross the barren landscape through a feild.. I point to what looks like a muddy mess of a cattle dip.. the water stinks and there is a dead fish on top of the rotten filthy fluid.. the people run to get drinks.. I gag while watching and ask them why they don't know how to filter the water..
They look with blank thirsty eyes at me.. some keep drinking others ask me to show them how to filter the water.. the ones that didn't end up sick
That is when I woke up..
