There is a lot here.
I think the bot is talking about a newspaper or book publisher /store.

OK, so first let me say that a thread can be related to writing.  It can be a "theme or characteristic, typically forming one of several, running throughout a situation or piece of writing".  

So, that being said, I believe that we have something relating to a newspaper (perhaps an article or the actual newspaper company) or a book publisher or book store.  There seems to be a focus on not only writing but also employment  including the words owner and jobs.
If I were to guess, I would say it might be about Barnes and Noble as there is talk they might go bankrupt.  This would go with the words fades and danger.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if this is about a story published by a newspaper which grabs national headlines ( or international if not a US paper). Maybe about the economy or jobs report. Maybe someone well known loses a job in the news media.
