I was driving to an airport with my spouse and children. We were a few blocks away, in a city when the traffic lights went dead. All the surrounding buildings were dark. We left our van in the middle of the street and began walking to the airport. Other people had left their vehicles and were doing the same thing. It was winter. I wrapped a woolen blanket around my youngest child.

When we arrived at the airport we learned that the flight we'd been awaiting was cancelled. This made me worry about my sister-in-law, who was supposed to be aboard. There was no way to contact her, as all cell phone service had ceased. We trod back through the light snow toward our van. Nothing was moving, except people.

Wow, if any of you remember me posting a dream a while back about what life looks like at the very start of the crash of society, well i got another installment last night This time it was full blown crash. It began with me walking through an old neighborhood of mine that was rough and tough, but as i walked through i noted that it seemed harsher, darker and everyone walked around in groups...some small and some larger. The large ones even had some form of uniform to them or dress code. I was a bit nervous, but being toughened by the hard lessons of my youth I puffed out my chest, put on my hard face and moved through the crowds. As i made my way through alleyways and buildings I passed a older guy that was familiar to me...it was the richest man i know and it was his store i was passing through..it was a jewerly/pawn store(not in real life) and he seemed to be missing some teeth and worse for the wear. I asked him if i could go through his shop as a shortcut to where i was going and he waved me through. The shop looked terrible. Anyway, I continued on to my destination which was an old autoparts store converted into a house/hangout. Many questionable characters where there and 3 of my friends. I couldn't figure out why my friends were there but they seemed on drugs and didn't mine the fact that we were hanging out in a situation that seemed like any second we were going to be turned on and robbed of anything we had because these people had NOTHING. But it was a communal hangout where people cooked some food, did some drugs i guess and just hung out or "lived". I kept trying to get my friends to leave as I knew things were not going to stay friendly long, but they wouldn't move...and worse yet I didn't know where i really was. Anyway, some people showed me their guns, but i got the sense that nobody really used them. And then at the end of the dream when my higher brain began to kick in and analyze the dream i realized that this wasn't a BAD neigborhood...it was EVERY neighborhood. And those people traveled in groups for SAFTEY. Even using uniforms to show strenght and organization...maybe even community support groups! And the reason there wasn't a lot of killings was because no one had any BULLETS left! just the guns! The former rich man was still rich, but not compared to life right now! Very scary dream, but scary for the reality of a bleak future

I had a very disturbing dream last night about what life will be like during or at the very beginning of a crash of society. I was living in a row house in a urban city which I believed was Baltimore. I was right on the end and I was in the middle of remodeling it when the events of the crash started picking up speed. Society hadn't quite fallen completely at this time but the winds of change were blowing fast. Many people were streaming by my row house and many were very desperate. Black, white, mexican you name it. Many then began to try and pour into my lobby area and beg for food, for work, for anything at all. When crowd gathered I immediately began shouting at them to get out of here. One of the younger kids screamed back at me that they have no choice and they are starving out here for gods sake!! And his face and voice were 20 notches above mine, full of the power of desperation. It shocked me to the core and I gave the crowd a breakfast sandwich I had in my hand. It was then I realized, that number one, things have changed and starving/homeless people weren't annoyances anymore and number two...that I had to leave as soon as possible as there was no way I could defend myself against the hordes of starving people who were going to rip me and my house apart for a scrap to eat. Very stark realization of what things will REALLY be like when TSHTF.

This is not so much about a dream I had, since I RARELY remember a dream, but about something I got from a dream.
Just at the end of one of my normal mundain dreams, I recieved what I took to be a place name, that I knew for certain was not connected to the dream. (No I don't know why I know it is not related, I just DO) The name is "Fortress Tennesee Test Range". I have not attempted to chase down whether or not such a place even exists or not as I am pretty sure that search will be pointless at this time.

this is the vivid end section at the end of a night of dreaming. i was on what appeared to be an iceberg, but more like a tinier iceberg that had broken off of a larger iceberg. i was on the top of the mound of it, maybe 2m, and my wife was below me but still riding on the iceberg a little closer to the water. on the iceberg there were small puddles that had formed on each of our 'perches', and they were reflecting what must have been the sky, though their colors were unbelievably vivid, cyan and magenta and clear. my wife was complaining intermittently about the cold. i don't know where we were or anything about the setting aside from floating in the ocean.

Dream occurred the night of 22-23May2010 I often have very vivid dreams but this was extremely detailed, even for me.
I'm driving in a city, on streets through tall buildings. I don't recognize the buildings. I'm the only vehicle on the road. I stop at an intersection, blinker on to turn left on the street that veers off to the left(not a direct left turn, more of a 45 degree angle). The light turns green and I accelerate into the intersection. I'm almost through the intersection when my car dies. No engine, no radio, nothing. Everything just quits working. The car has enough momentum built to coast the rest of the way through the intersection and rolls to a stop next to a curb.
I get out of the car and look around. There's no movement. No traffic lights. No sounds of traffic. I see other vehicles way down the street and they're stopped in the middle of the street. All the buildings around me are dark. I try my cell phone. It's dead, too. Shit, I think as I get out of the car. I go to the trunk, using the key to open the trunk.
A woman comes up to me. She's dressed in a nurse's uniform/white scrubs. She says, "My car died."
"I know," I say. "We've got to go. There's not much time."
"I don't understand," she says.
I pull out my backpack from the trunk. "Most people are trying to figure out what's happened right now," I say as I check the bag. "They'll think the power is just down. They don't realize what's happened."
"What did happen?" she asks, watching me transfer items from my big purse to the backpack. The pack is crammed full of supplies but I manage to find room for the other things.
"Not certain," I say. "It could be an EMP. Or a nuke. Whatever it was, it's knocked out the electricity and electronics. When people realize that the power won't be coming back on anytime soon, it's going to get ugly. I'd suggest you get moving." I check her shoes. She's wearing running shoes. "Good," I tell her, "You'll be able to walk."
"Walk?" she asks.
"Yes, walk. Right now that's the only way you'll move unless you were riding a bicycle." She watches me pull my handgun from a case in the trunk. I put on the holster, on my right hip. Check the gun, check the clip. Insert the gun into the holster and put extra clips in the pockets of my jeans. "You can walk with me," I tell her, "If you're heading in my direction. If not-" I hand her bottles of water and a protein bar. "Here's enough to get you going."
She puts the bottles of water and the protein bar in her bag. I heft my backpack up and put it on, check my car one more time to make sure I'm not leaving anything important behind, then lock it, just in case.
"I'll walk with you," she says. "You seem to know what you're doing." I laugh. I have no clue but I know I need to get moving. We start walking along the street, in a direction I know is towards home and safety. "Well," she says, "You're prepared for anything."
"Not anything," I say. "Just enough to get me home."
As we walk, the streets are empty. Every now and then, I see people with backpacks, also walking. Not many, though. There's no sound. It's eerie, like we're the only people in existence right then.

For some weird reason most of the dreams that I've been gaving over the last couple of weeks are related to travel. Specifically, airports, etcs. This one was from last night (23MAY10)

I was in Beijing, China. There were several people on a bus. I knew none of them, but it seemed that some of them knew me. We were driving through the city and one of the men in our group started talking about how the airports were closed. The bus stopped on a street, which was fairly busy with motor traffic and was lined with medium sized trees. It was shady and a nice breeze was blowing. Several of the men in my group were mad about the airport being closed and were discussing it. It was if I was just an observer. Not communicating with anyone. One of the men asked the group leader (for lack of a better description) when the airports would re-open. He said, "Never!" Several of the men started cussing and becoming very antimated. I remember thinking during the dream, "Great. I'm stuck in Beijing with no way back home." End.
NOTE: I've never been to Beijing before.

My dream entry did not work so here is a short synopsis: Thanksgiving, 2009. Dreamt that trading partners will drop the $ around Easter time, they will no longer use $'s. Gold will descend. This will collapse our economy.

I find myself in a grocery store with a cart full of canned goods. I feel anxious, and by feel I mean while dreaming I KNOW I'm dreaming, I stop my cart and take a look around at a very 'Real Life' scene. Suddenly I can see my emotions comming out of my body like heat off hot pavement. I look around to see if my fellow shoppers are having the same experience. I know it's 'Time', but I'm getting ready to call out a warning to the people in the store. Suddenly, nothing matters more than me finding my way home. I am angry for finding myself in a stupid grocery store when I need to be home. The grocery store people are starting to get that it's 'Time' and most of them become wild, running or crying, abandoning their carts, or sweeping armfulls of useless item into them. I look for one person that has not gone wild and see her standing looking back at me. We don't recognize but rather just know one another. It is our mission to get back to our families by working togeather. We hold hands and make our way to her vehicle. We see some men that might be military, but just mostly crazed individuals. I need to push my emotions onto the mass of people, to calm them, let them know they must only have the mission of getting home, not let the idea that it's 'Time' make them crazy.I realize it's no use, they are not going to feel me. The woman and I get in the car and go like hell. All she will say to me is 'I Know' as we try to escape the city and get to our country homes. A rock smashes out her back window, we run up a curb and we both know that is the end of the car helping us. We exit and see people looking at the car, but we cannot understand what they are saying. We know it is time to part ways, and we both say 'Goodbye' as one. I suddenly know that the other woman is me, and watch her(me?) diappear and wish us good luck. I'm not far from home, but all the vivid colors and smells are suddenly becoming mute.I look at a tree that flames the color red and then dulls to beige. I feel my family waiting, they are okay because they are home, but I know I need to keep going and get there before the 'Time" has passed...This is usually where the dream ends. I have been repeat dreaming the above, all or some of it, exactly the same, for six months now. Not every night but at least once weekly. When I wake, I can't separate myself from the dream for hours. In my 'Real Life' I find myself practically running to get my grocery shopping done, so I'm not in the damn store when it's finally 'Time'.Something tells me it dosen't even really matter.

I saw a glitzy roller-coaster with coloured lights and high peaks and low valleys. A car went to a high peak, then started a descent. On the way down, the structure broke sending the car crashing to the ground. There was a big difference between the glitzy coaster and where the car ended up. One moment things were propped up with artificial lights, the next moment things were dark but much more natural.
