In the dream, I am standing on a plain, wide rolling grassland. Before me a I see a giant structure. From top to bottom, it would just fit inside the Grand Canyon; my mind tells me it is about the size of Manhattan (possibly the whole 5 burroughs). It is all black. The shape is a giant sphere, standing on a thick rod, which feeds into a cone (which my mind also tells me continues down into the ground another 10 stories or more). On the outside of the sphere is a ring; it is flat and tall, covering most of the sphere. If I were to hover and look down, I would see many thin spokes connecting this flat-paneled ring to the sphere.
Now I am inside, and there are hundreds of thousands of people. It is amazing inside, because there is light filtering in from all of the panels; from the outside it looked solidly black. I wonder how this place could have been hidden from people for so long.
It comes to me that this is a place of refuge for certain nations, specifically the nations of the UN Security Council. I do not recall hearing much French, Russian, or British accents; the dream was focused on the Chinese, and I could hear the Americans. There were rumors circulating that the Chinese had somehow sabotaged the project; there was concern that either the structure would fail in carrying out its function, or that the Chinese would somehow become turncoats at a critical moment.
