Ankle deep in water

I'm standing in crystal clear water that is ankle deep above me a moonless night sky shines with stars. I find myself looking up at the sky feeling restless. From some where in the distance comes a loud boom and the water at my feet gently laps at my ankles. When the water becomes still I look down at my feet it's no longer clear but red like blood. The wind blows at my back and I look back up to the sky the stars are now striking across it.
