I'm standing outside, waiting for my supervisor to come and reprimand me for something. I have no idea what he's upset about, and it's getting very cold outside. I'm dressed for summer weather. The wind starts to kick up, it's very bitter, and I can feel it start to rain. It's stinging my skin, so I go back inside the building.
As I arrive at my desk, everyone on my floor is being told to evacuate immediately. I'm trying to clean out my desk and looking for something warmer to put on. As I arrive at the elevators, there is a huge crush of people looking to get on. I miss the first set of elevators, and need to wait for them to come back. I'm standing there with a woman from another office, and we're holding on to each other, as we're afraid of getting separated in the crowd. Just then the service elevator arrives and I jump on, but she won't get on that one, and I wave goodbye. She seemed concerned that the elevator would get stuck, but it deposits me out near the lobby.
As I'm walking out the front door, someone yells for me to be careful as we could be in a targeted building. I go outside, and I'm in the middle of an ice storm. Everything is covered with ice, and I have to get on my butt to slide down to street level. The winds are strong, and the ice is stinging me.
I jump into a taxi, but I realize I don't have my purse and he's looking for cash.
I eventually make it to the apartment, and I go into the bedroom and start closing all the curtains, as I'm afraid I could be a target once night falls.
Thoughts - The weather situation seemed out of place for where I was and the time of year. I'm dressed for summer, and it's around freezing and a huge storm is over the city I'm in. The city has a feel of a large city like Chicago or New York. And there was a distinct overtone of a terrorist attack, as I was told I could be in a "targeted" building, and I needed to lay low once I got home.
