I had this dream several years ago between ~2000-2006.
I am on a bridge crossing a body of water. My impression is I'm in Seattlecrossing a bridge during rush hour traffic. I am looking out on the ocean side and admiring the view. Traffic was slow but steady. Then I felt a tremor and the bridge started to sway. A stormseemed to comeout of nowhere with rain and heavy winds which I thought was what caused the shaking of the car. Then, suddenly, the swaying of the bridge becamemuch worse, and I realized this wasn't a storm, but an earthquake. This earthquake was much greater than the Bay Area earthquake of October 1989 that I was in. The bridge was galloping and there was no way off. Water from below was coming over the bridge. The bridgewas both swaying back and forthand galloping up and down.(much likethe 1994earthquake in Northridge,CA--which moved horizontally and vertically making the surface of the Earth be like a tumbling dryer. This type of earthquake does serious damage and there is little possibility of a person to find footing and safety). I knew thatthe bridgewould ultimately collapse as cars were beginning tofall off the bridge as the bridge came undone. My fear started rising. This was going to be a major disaster in Seattle. At that point, I woke up with my heart pounding.
