Black Wave Rising from the Lake

I only recall one scene: I was looking out over a lake or waterway that had a lot of houses around, in an urban area. It was a pretty big lake, but I was focused on the corner of it right in front of me. As I watched, a wave rose up, facing directly away from me. It was black water, just like my black water dream, only this water was moving and forming a 20-30 foot high wave, very smooth on the back side, like motor oil. I observed that the wave was about to hit the shore where some nice houses were, and I thought the wave carried really hardly any mass. It was tall, but thin and would only sort of flood the houses, maybe wash away the stuff in their yards. I didn't get to see it crash.
