water/foam spouts

i was looking out the window of my cousins house (not her real house but i knew it was hers) and could see far off in the distance. there were dozens of what looked like water spouts from the ground to the clouds, but i felt like they were more cloud material than water. they got closer and closer to the house and eventually they approached the windows. i was not really panicked, it seemed normal. the spounds didnt pass around or over the house, they started to flood the house with some kind of foam. i remember getting nervous, then the sun came through the windows and began to evaporate the foam.
