Destruction downtown

Dreamed about a downtown where at least half the high rises and major buildings were destroyed, it either had to be a huge bomb (maybe nuclear) or a serious earthquake. The city was not huge like a Houston or Dallas or even Phoenix that I and others have dreamed about but it was not small either and it was in a flat region and seemed kind of dry, I would say maybe Kansas City, Memphis, Tulsa, El Paso size city with several high rises in a well developed but very compact downtown area. I will look up the cities I mentioned and see if one seems to match but it was so damaged it would be hard to compare. I had a feeling of shock and surprise.
