Travelling through the countryside on motor-boots

I had a pair of boots just like my own, except they had wheels and a gas engine somehow, and they would carry me just like a vehicle. I was going to Lena for some kind of festival, and passed through a tunnel where there were several vendor carts selling baked goods. I got lost at some point, and saw a man dressed in goth clothes and asked him for directions. He said he would take me back to Palestine (a nearby town) where I could get better directions to Lena (another town, near Palestine) On the way, we passed a flooded neighborhood. I considered using Google maps from my phone but I didn't because I figured the signal probably didn't reach out there anyway. I realized it was time for me to go back home so I could get to work in time so I left. When I got back home (to my old room at my mom's old house) I got on the computer and looked up where I was, and there was something wrong with the mouse.
