Two story flat/studio

I was in a two story building, upstairs and it was a flat and empty. All windows, no blinds and sun was getting ready to go down. Someone or something was coming and we had to hide. My wife and daughter were between the floor and ceiling of the first and second floor. I was walking around looking and my wife pulled up a square in the floor and said its clean and nice down here, we should be ok/safe. It was all wood, maybe 3 feet tall and covered the same space as the second floor. There was a dim light, but I went out to go and get a fan for circulation up on the second floor somewhere and I woke up..
