i have had a dream multiple times where people were amidst great destruction in tattered clothing with ash and dirt and they looked burned, scorched, and they had no hair. at the time i thought it was fire, a great fire. it didnt occur to me that it could have been radiation poisoning, but that fits. i remember the images of the sad people in their torn ashy clothes and their burned appearance even though the dream has slightly different imagery sometimes. theres always a burned ash covered man walking in the destruction.
