there were Christians chained to things like cattle gates. the cattle gates had been rigged with a blade gadget that bolted to the top rail of the gait. the executioner would ask the Christian a question. they are chained so that they are on their knees in their undergarments. when the question is answered the executioner releases the blade. its not a sharp blade - it brutally knocks their heads off.
