We have good documentation from last year that the answer is both. Our bot and dreamers have an uncanny ability to see through hoaxes (e.g., the Canada "shooting" and the illegal alien hoax (aliens were flooding the country, but it was all planned, and the bot caught it).
We really aren't that sophisticated just yet. Right now its simply what Sherriann so adequately said, "A headline is a headline." Once we have a thousand data points, then we can re-explore this issue to see if we can refine it more towards absolute truth. The only problem there is who has the absolute truth? Will we ever REALLY know what happened in the Gulf of Tonken or in the World Trade Center towers? Probably not until we're lifted out this 3D reality.
