If rock=stone, this might be about Trump and his (former) top adviser Rodger Stone. They both say they fired each other.
And there is the Megyn Kelly comments he made about blood which got Trump "fired" from attending a high profile event in Georgia. This would be a "staining (of the red) carpet. People are being "pushed over the balcony" as such.
