string hands sound purple thinking rooms - I believe this is speaking of mourning.  A death(s) will occur that is/are profound enough to cause people to be in mourning, string hands sound would be string instruments playing mournful music.  purple thinking rooms, People reflect upon the tragedy. It makes me think of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, played at Kennedy's funeral
