perimeters, sensors also could be boundaries or borders yes?
Sensors could be border agents, satellites, or off world technology.
I remember seeing an article this morning on ISIS using Mexico to cross over here for
an attack. Let me noodle around to see if I can find it.

this could also be related to SHIP....as in cargo !
For example, much of Chinese export cargo comes into Mexico via container ships
to be sent up into Texas and through to Canada via a corridor that was a planned superhighway
cutting through Ohio into Canada. Not sure what happened to that.
consider too that SHIP can be a verb as in shipping something.
