Searched for "river rats" and got this Wikipedia entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coypu
Searched for "jewel lake" and wow, there are a lot of lakes named "jewel lake." But the one that caught my eye was the one in Canada, near Ontario, for no other reason than it made me chuckle: http://www.jewel-lake.com/indexA.html
But this is the one that really got my attention: Â https://theculturetrip.com/europe/france...cy-france/
Lake Annecy is called the "jewel of France" and it also has Palais de L'isle, which would satisfy the "mansion island" lingo.
I dunno, Lake Annecy just got my attention. Whether or not something is there remains to be seen.
