GOLD and CERN (and possibly Alchemy)

Okay, now connecting more dots with the gold and CERN (since you mentioned the gold mine). It's no wonder why South Africa was chosen to be a part of this. Chani said that gold was useless and was given away. I'm wondering, thus, if: A) gold is actually extremely valuable in these experiments (i.e., opposite what Chani claims) and B) in what form or state the gold is in for these experiments?

I don't want to necessarily take us down the rabbit hole of gold, rather I just wanted to document my gold related questions in case gold comes back later as a major contributor to this meme.
