I fell asleep on the couch early this morning and had fitful sleep.
I dreamed that I booked a run of dates with Toby Keith and Western Underground, one being at Red Rocks. The agent called to tell me that management didn't want me at the Red Rocks show. I thought he was joking. He assured me he didn't understand either but he was serious. We laughed. I went anyway. Band is sound checking. I'm lounging on a couch behind them. Dad walks into the scene dressed in all white, it WAS a joke I think to myself. But then I see his face, he doesn't look at me, he's disappointed. Must have been the lounging. Manager is on the way, I should be on my best behavior. I get up and I'm so tired. I spend the rest of the dream checking passes and arguing with people, feeling bummed out and unappreciated.
I woke up with a start, and as I fell back asleep I had an image of the front page of a newspaper. I can't read it even though the print is big and bold and colorful. A voice says "The Large Hadron Collider Takes Out The Moon". Doesn't even make sense I think. Then the paper spins clockwise away from me, like they sometimes do on a screen in the movies.
