what is the PTB?

The human powers that be.... or maybe they are aliens....  

The ones we see are human...for the most part. They're puppets or they have what I call "riders". The real PTB have no intention of being seen. Whether or not they are human, well, that's open for debate. They are, however, people. And just like people, they have their strengths and weaknesses, their quirks and foibles, and they are not infallible. Powerful, yes, but still just people.

And those we term "aliens" aren't necessarily from other planets. They could be from other Earths, other dimensions, the future, who knows? They could be human, they could be reptilian, they could be insectoid, heck, they could be pure energy. There are a lot of players on both/all sides.
