Landslide near a beach

In the dream, my wife and some friends were going to do a triathlon; there was a food tent that on top of a hill, we had all gone up to the food tent. Somebody was running across the sand near the top of the hill, and the announcer was making a comment about it. Suddenly, the entire hill below him collapsed in a whump. Many people were buried and could not be seen. Because of the collapse, we were unable to go to them directly to help because there was now a steep drop off.

There was a flying robot that we were able to use as a ladder to go down to the collapsed slope. The dream ended there. I did not recognize the location, and I am not sure if the beach was an ocean or a lake.
