I saw a plan activated to attempt to rescue one American with a drone. The mission involved one SF personnel carried by a drone from an ISIS hostage confinement facility in Southern Syria to safety in Kurd-controlled territory in Northern Iraq. The plan included a drone that had a load capability for two people; the American would be loaded into the passenger compartment and the SF personnel would hang from the drone in a paralift chair. The American was located and placed in the drone and the SF troop was secure below and the drone began to take up and there was an unexpected strain on the mechanics. The SF troop cut away and had to E&E to Northern Iraq.[CMT: I got the impression that the American was a journalist and the fate of the SF troop was not seen.]
