I had a dream in which thousands of people in South Africa were watching the crypto-apartheid movie/SCI FI District 9, about the the prawn-like aliens trapped in an a Joburg apartheid slum.
The odd thing was the movie was like a circle in the middle of a web page, and around it appeared faces of people watching the movie in little circles concentric to the movie in the center. More and more faces appeared on the web page watching the movie until it reached a crescendo - and then like a vuvuzela blast - the message came from these people "Now America Understands Apartheid". There seemed to be great joy among the people that this story was made in manner it was that anyone could plainly understand. What hit me most was just the collective human joy of people knowing that another group of people finally understood what had happened to them a half a world away. I don't think I have ever felt a blast of emotion like that before.
