Failed to fly

My friend and I are in a small plane on the taxiway at the airport. There appears to be a long line, so he starts eating something. But then we come around a corner and a traffic control person waves us on. The line starts moving fast and as we approach the runway a control tower guy waves us on to the runway. But my partner isn't ready. I hit the throttle anyway but we don't get up enough speed to leave the ground so we have to abort the takeoff and get back in line. I feel like it was my partners fault for not being ready.
