About a week ago (10/30 or so) had a very vivid dream about a bigearthquake. I can't recall any other dreams where the actual motion of the earthquake was so vivid. I actually felt almost seasick in the dream riding the waves of movement as they came through the building I was in. The interesting thing was that I had no recollection of any damage anywhere, just the sickening sensation of riding these waves. I have never been in a earthquake before so don't really have a frame of reference for what it is like.
In any event, the next recollection is finding myself and my wife down at the marina shopping for a sailboat as we knew with certainty there would be another quake and this time we were going to require the boat as everything would be flooded. For some reason we were looking for a boat in the 50K range as this was the money we had in our bank account and were going to spend it all on the boat. Not sure how things turned out as I don't think we ended up buying one in the dream.

In the dream: I wasupstairs trying to sleep whenI heard voices, announcer types,as though there were a football game nearby, but they were much louder and many of them were speaking simultaneously.Overlaying the voices were loud chopping sounds. The noise was of such a volume that physicallydisturbed the air and was painful to the ears. Think fire siren next to your head amplified a hundred-fold. Thecacaphony would indeed mute a tornado siren. It physically penetrated thebody.I remember thinking that I can"t believe my sister, who used tosleep in thatroom, wouldhave to deal with this everytime there was a football game(we have a highschool stadium down the road). I noticed how the sound seemed to be level with the second floor of the house, as though the source of the sound were in the air.I caught a snippet of what of one of the announcers were saying. It was hard to catch because it was so loud and all the announcers were speaking simultaneously, from different directions. The announcerdubbed himself and the other announcers as the Apache Air Somethings, and said something about "for all you people weaving while driving out there, we"ll have something for you later." The voice was very news casterly, or similar to a sports commentator. Despite the cacophony I stubbornly tried to sleep.

My wife, son and I were on vacation in some island nation (Presumably Caribbean type). We were waiting for a shuttle to take us back to hotel ( after a days activities on the water) when I was looking north (the sun was setting over my left shoulder) and heard a roar louder than an airplane taking off. I was startled at first, but all the islanders seemed to be used to it. So as I looked at the rocket, which didn't appear to look like a long white tube like when I was a kid. Rather it looked shorter and had windows. As it climbed, I noticed that it did not take off straight into the air, but instead started to arc in front of me now heading east, then rolling over. Then it continued to arc and unbelievably, just kept up it's semi-circular path until it hit the ground in the middle of a city and exploded in flames. I could see it hit clearly because of being on the water at a harbor or beach. This dream was in color and very vivid. I just remember wanting to go to the crash site and help but then woke up.

I had a dream of being here at my place in western NC, with people I know, having a BBQ or such. While out on the property we see a large storm materialize/move in with odd electrical features that seem to involve the sun. I see a purpleish tunnel of light/plasma from the sun through the clouds or perhaps from the clouds themselves. This tunnel or beam has intense energy, crackling sounds, and sets vegetation on fire in the valley moving towards us and we run for cover. I had felt that we weren't too shocked, perhaps we heard that these had hapened elsewhere in the planet or we knew the sun had acted funny recently?

Was in a grove of apple and other fruit trees with a male authority figure/mentor. He was a military officer and aircraft pilot of some kind. He led me to a place where there were several teams and I was supposed to be on one of them. I can"t recall the name of my team but it had a logo to the right of the name that looked like a like a square ventilation duct, only with squiggly lines running horizontally. One of the other teams appeared to be "The Cyclones". Each team had its own stadium, each being adjacent to one another and looking like the top half of a flying saucer protruding from the ground, appearing like a southwestern style stucco dome. It appeared that the main level of the interior of these stadiums were below ground level. I was looking at them from the outside.

I had this dream the morning of November 4th, 2010. It started out with me and my GF driving in my car at night, and we where going to get dinner. However, we saw a 13 year old boy who needed a ride. Normally, I don't pick up hitchikers, but I figured the kid needed a ride. We drove by the Hospital, and my GF had to use the bathroom so I parked outside the hospital and let her out. About a minute later, the kid and I looked to our right to see the clear night sky, and we saw a huge cherry red meteor crash into the desert way out into the distance. The sky exploded in white light, and I knew something was wrong. There was no destruction; just light. Suddenly, I looked out my moonroof and I saw three blue and yellow orbs with narrow cones sticking out from the front flying from where the meteor crashed (they remind me of a painting of the Virgin Mother and the Baby Jesus, and in the painting in the corner is a UFO). The UFOs' size in the sky was like a marble that kids play with. The three UFO made acircle around, and startedshooting orange lasers at,what seemed to be thin air. Suddenly, I saw red lasers firing back at the orbs. I realized that the red lasers where coming from smaller UFOs colored dark orange in the shape of bottle caps. The Blue/ Yellow UFOs won, and the other UFOs exploded. The Blue/Yellow UFO moved to another section of the sky and did the exact same thing, circling and firing orange lasers at invisible UFOs shooting red lasers. Each time this happened the blue/yellow UFOswon. I wanted to go into the hosptial to get my girl friend, but I was so scared that I could not move; I could only watch in horror. In the back of my mind I was wondering "Who is winning? The good guys, or the bad guys?" I woke up startled a few seconds before my alarm woke me up.

In my dream I was writing a philosophical treatis of some sort - maybe on Nietzsche - I was in the house where I grew up in my parent's bedroom. My old undergrad philosopher professor was there and he was helping me put the writing together for a slide show. I've no idea what I was writing about, but the patten of the paragraphs meant something. As I was writing, my pen became very heavy and started to pull towards the west. I wrestled with it for a bit and then just let it go. It flung into the door. I went to retrieve it, but when I did I looked out the window where I saw a very strange cloud formation. They looked like dolphins over the mountains in the west (I stared out in Ohio and ended up in Colorado). There was a feeling of dread that came over me, like this was the beginning of something horrible. I've no idea why dolphins represented that - perhaps in a "So Long and Thanki for all the Fish" sort of way.

meeting with a group of people who are "alien" hunters...we are in a darkened room/cave....the leader, a young man, shows/gestures with his hands:"they are only 2 feet tall" and explains that they use jewels to find them....he shows me trays of various jewelry, color coded i.e each tray holds a different color...one tray of ruby colored stones,earrings are especially nice, but the platinum bracelets are cool too..Then a woman in a all-in-one suit comes close,.She laughs and states "those are the best" then starts to explain how weight matters too, "why I weigh 150 lbs and it helps" Somehow I would know how " it" helps..Time is up, for the meeting...Now comes the hunt.....They all disperse toward the door/light.....and I awake with the images of trays full of jewelry,shining, deep bluish red light, still in my eyes.....

I am sitting on the floorin mybedroom. My legs are drawn up close to my body with my head on my knees. My eyes are closed. My arms are hugged around my legs. The wierd part - the air all around me is a slate blue color. I can feel the blue air moving around me. This dream left me very depressed, as if the world had become an awful place to be.

My 11 year old daughter and I had the same dream last night. We both dreampt that we moved to a new home. While the look of the house in our 2 dreams were different, we both dreampt that is was out in the countryside...away from suburbia, and away from where we are now. Both houses were very peaceful, and free from stress. What is the chance that we had the same dream?
